HOLLYWOOD'S latest celebrity jailbird Khloe Kardashian went to the slammer in style - with a fresh, white ink tattoo etched on to her wrist, it has been revealed.

The younger sister of the reality TV Kardashian clan has not been shy of posing and talking to the media to her own advantage after being convicted of DUI, and sentenced to jail.

The short stay in prison continues to raise eyebrows in Hollywood about celebrities who do not serve time in jail for their crimes like other convicted criminals.

Khloe was originally sentenced to jail after she failed to meet probation conditions.

Before Khloe went to jail, she headed to the Shamrock Tattoo parlour on Sunset Boulevard with a close friend, according to her big sister Kim Kardashian, who unveiled the first picture of Khloe's new tatt on her official website blog.

The tatt contains the letters "KK" which represents the Kardashian sisters.

While it looks pinkish in the photo, Kim said it will eventually fade away and be invisible to the naked eye after being done in "white ink" not traditional black ink.

Khloe's new tatt comes as fresh video footage has emerged of her last night of freedom before going to jail for just 173 minutes.

She partied with sister Kim at a charity bowling night with other stars including the Pussycat Dolls.

She then willingly posed for more photos and spoke to the press on the morning of her prison appointment.
